That is the most common place to tap into the oil system for a turbo oil suppy, & is the method I've been using for a while with no problem, but I'm going to be changing this as I'm concerned that the oil supply point is before the oil filter, so unfiltered oil will be going through your turbo.
I guess it comes down to the turbo you're running, if it's a second hand "cheapie" that won't cost much to replace go for it, but if it's a new one or cost you a fair few dollars it'd be a good idea to get the oil supply from somewhere after the filter.
I'm planning on installing a remote filter & cooler kit, & most of the remote filter mounts or filter adaptors these days are available with a couple of threaded holes for oil pressure senders or the like that could be used for a turbo oil fed line.
Yup thats where mine was running from with no issues from what ive been told, (now back to NA)

Another thing i just thought of is that motorsport places sell filter relocator kits and those sandwich plates for oil coolers, one of those could help you out, that way you could run clean oil like Big Worm mentioned.
