Yes true, but talking to any good performance engine builder will be able to pick a fairly close ball park grind out of their head with those variables in mind.
thats what i mean, there are a lot of variables for picking a cam.
whats the maximum lift the 1ggte can run? anyone know?

The problem is that the 1G is such a torqueless motor and there is no cheap supply of cams so a ball park grind isn't really going to cut it. To make sure the car drives decently as well as getting a decent increase in performance to make the money for a single pair of cams worth it would require quite a bit of development and testing.
It would be interesting to see what the big cam companies that ask for a page of car details to recomend a grind would have to say though. I wonder if they'd be happy to recomend a grind even though there is no chance they'd have done a 1G setup?
Tighe cams in Brisbane have done a few sets of 1G cams now. They have measured about a dozen sets of 1G cams for myself and 6Boost. It was found that there was only minor differences between some of them.
There is a fellow down south that races a NA 1G powered sports sedan I believe. He seems to make very good power as well.
had a look today and IS200 1gfe 10:1 pistons are about $95 each
available in standard and 0.5 O/S
