theroetically the 1g should be more power productive than a 3s due to it being closer to the optimal (300cc) chamber voloume for maximum efficiancy, and due to its more even firing order. That said theoretically, communism works.
    GA23(never finished-now with cracked block ) JZX83 (Tyre eater) 3sgte AE86. by now i should know better.

One one you can go with NA (and what i have slightly planed for mine)

SC14, Stock 1G-GE Intake (it's the eazyiest for pipeing) 1G-GTE Cams, Stock 1G-GZE Manuel ECU (or megasquirt)

Other options (not yet confirmed) is injector changes form other series G or maby even M or J injectors?

Basically why I want to build this is I figure I have half the parts or should be able to get them quite easily, I've had a 1G-GTE and while it is fun I want a NA car that revs its tits off, preferably a 1G and Toyota chassis. If I put it in a light enough frame, preferably a sprinter, it should be alot of fun. I was thinking of using a Haltech to run it.

Long engine in a small car is no fun, dont waste you money on a sprinter only to make it front heavy.

And you realised AE86's are identical to KE70's, except ae86's are cool in the eyes of rice?

read it on here somewhere that the GTE cams have a slightly longer duration and slightly more lift, also suite the SC14 better then the stock G cams.
Idearly i'd like to get a nice flowing set of extractors and go with the Tripple carb option, it would be original and keep the old-skool feel of the car.. But after doing a little research it $ to Kw figure just diddnt add up. the biggest problem ($) being cams.

    Noticeable Improvement?
will its looking like cam's will be one less part fo me to find. I have a little more room to play with then most the other 1G blokles on here (see pic, its taken at a bad angle though)

But from a top on view i can shift or space the Radiator back close to 3 to 4cm and run a slimline thormofan, this should give me enough room for a small Frontmount.
will mount the SC14 on lower left hand side, depending on pipeing ofcorse.

nuop havent fitted or started the motr yet, lol

but with the GTE's using NA cams and adjustable cam gears, there have been proven result of 30rwhp, depending on the tune and accessories tho....

get some custom cams made, very fat and lumpy suckers, only $30 a lobe X 24

BIG throttle body (you can get them on ebay cheap)

    `naybe a healty 30-50hp nitrous shot too?

whats the 1g in aswell? old rona?

if you not happy spending heaps of money to get shit all power then the naturally aspirated route probally isnt for you. just make up a decent zorst/extractors, and run a pod filter. it wont make a huge difference, but anything more than that is going to be v expensive and probally not that helpfull.
custom cams would be good but if you spending that much money you want the right ones and i dont know anybody who's done enough custom grinds for a 1g to be an expert.

naturally apsirated id give it a lobe seperation of about 118 (pro stock style ) to maximise cylinder pressures.
And give it a duration of around 250* @ .050" lift which would come on the cam around 4-5000 rpm and probly wouldnt end till around the 8500-rpm mark.

Obviously theres much more information to be given but thats a start. We need to start with information such as, maintanance intervals, rpm's, nitrous, bore and stroke.
