Arias in the USA can make you those 92mm pistons for an 18rg.. indeed they will do them to what ever compression you want. I had great service from them and they were well priced too.

i opoligise firstly that this question has probably been asked before but to save me reading through 200 odd pages.i recently converted to efi and i am using stock recoed 18rgeu injectors can people recommend any upgrade injectors with part numbers if possible or what they are using in there car
i ask as i have a miss at between 2800 and 3000 rpm when cruising. have changed/upgraded spark issue and also have tried change fuel mixture[from mechaic on laptop] without success
it goes great when you rev past but breaks down cruising

Search on fleabay for "1g dsm injector" and you should find what you are looking for. About 400cc or a tad more maybe. Work fine in my 18rgte

the std are 210cc blue top. code 195500-0282
probably the easiest to get are, 460cc code 195500 1350 red top, as these are low imp from RX7. purple top are High imp
So you will need low impedience, top feed, also single pintle, with EV1 plug...unless you get an adapter for the other type of plugs

    see next for pic.

What about 1ggte ones? Theyre about 300cc, Im thinking of using some of these on my motor. Its not getting turboed anymore as i cant justify the extra work and cost involved with converting to bigger diff, bigger flywheel, bigger clutch, custom driveshaft etc when i should be spending the time and money on my other V12 project. It is only a Daily after all. I have found a head with big cams in it and maybe put in a set of slightly bigger/newer injectors and FPR, set of extractors and bigger throttle body, decent cold air intake. Will be more than enough for a daily, less chance of breaking shit.
Would 1ggte injetors be a good idea or nah? Should i try get some newer ones maybe? Maybe EVO ones or something??
    Cheers

1ggte have a multi spray pattern for multivalve engines. No good for 2 valve like the 18r. I should have clarified you need to do an international search for the injectors I mentioned above. They are low impedance too.

Could anyone reccomend and engine rebuilder in brisbane or anywhere in southeast QLD for my 18rg? I have stripped it down and plan to do the easy bits of re-assebly myself but i want the block and head ready to go.

Would prefer a rebuilder who has experience with these motors.

Found the culprit of my no compression in cylinder #1

Had a chip and a burr on the edge stopping it from closing properly.
Swapped it with a spare and gave that a regrind. Hopefully get around to reassembling the engine on Sunday

Bought an 81 Hilux with an 18RGU running, waiting for it to get here and will transplant into my Celica, sell on the 2.2, or keep it and put hi comp pistons in later, we shall see...
