O man - an Arias job number would be tops

Also it looks like the Fidanza aluminium flywheel for 18R (part no 130181) appears to be out of production. Has anyone sourced one of these recently?
I got a SPEC aluminium flywheel recently for my 18RG from eghey (username Ultrarevparts). The listing was for a mark II 1.9L 8R 18RC to 2/70 which turned out as stated to not be suitable for 18R after 1970. The guy was really helpful and investigated a few alternatives and ended up providing the correct flywheel plus about $25 to cover the difference in price.

That's who I got my flywheel from. Only complaint I have is that the ad stated the gear was in stock ready to ship, but he didn't hand it over to FedEx until 1 month after I paid for it. Otherwise, it was a good price, and he sent what he said he would.

Can anyone recommend some ignition leads for an 18RG? I tried Thundercords/Magnacore as well as Bursons but they both said that they could not supply any leads with right angled boots, can anyone help?

I'm getting an 18RG, that has been 'freshened' with a sohc 18R block (including sohc 18R oil pump).

What's the done thing with the oil pump, and is there anything I should do whilst the head and sump are off the motor?

Oh, and is a stroker build as simple as offset-ground 22r crank, 16r rods, and stock 22r pistons? what about other stuff like bearings, head gasket, pins, head/valve modifications, etc? i'm sure it's here but not going through 175 pages

I got mine from Adelaide All Brake and Clutch - they had them in stock i reckon. Can't remember brand name. Price was reasonable.

The right angle you are talking about - that is on the dizzy end yes?

egamirrorim, do a search. The NGK part numbers have been listed on here for the leads you are looking for. I can confirm they are the correct fitment items also with the boot you are looking for.

searching leads brought up 74 hits in this threads.
ignition leads narrowed it down to 10, and luckily one of those hits, when scrolled down a bit on that page, got this from 2007

You have to buy from a distributor (Bursons I think). Best to call them (see website for details) and ask who is the closest distributor to you. That's what I did. Once contact was made they were sent overnight.

    Good luck.
for the record, my leads have no right angle on the end that plugs onto the spark plugs. On either of my 18RG's. They don't hit the bonnet and don't cause me any problems...

I'll see if I can find a part number and brand - i still have the box they came in stashed somewhere...

    NGK from Supercheap.
About $50 but you have to go through there web site to find the part number.
It's under 1978 Celica twin cam.
You can order them on line or go to the store and order them providing you have the part number.

    Roscos

Found the part no "RCTE94" and they cost $46.95.

They would be the TopGun leads. Compared to the NGK units, IMO they are shit. The boots never stayed in the holes properly for me.

Job number 41036 was for 92mm bore 10.5:1 compression pistons for naturally aspirated application.

Would have to have a bit more of a search (box is at the engine builder so not so easy to find) for the job number for the 8.5:1 92mm bore pistons I got done for boosted street application.

Thanks Damian and Roscos for info on the leads +rep! I did do a search for the info in here but I must've missed that one.
Supercheap were able to order them in for me no probs, but Bursons were unable to - odd!
