old post i know but im scratchin for options if i cant find an airflow meter...
Its pretty easy to adapt ECU's to work on other engines.
I have run a 3TGTE on a 2TG and 1G ECI way back in 1985 long before the current generation even had licences.

A 2VZFE engine in the V6 NB Camry will run OK using a 2 Litre 3SFE airflow meter/box.

The 3SFE RAV4 both COIL pack and DIZZY run TPS and Butterfly so if you look at the ECU circuits in the CAMRY wiring and again in the RAV4 wiring and compare the differences you wills ee how to make the transition between the two technologies.

All the circuits are available on line in PDF Format.

Crank to Aux shaft isn't much of an issue, rule of thumb is set them both with the keyways facing up. Once you have all the tensioners and guides in, then get the upper chain in, and set the cams up. Rule of thumb again is to have the crank at No. 1 TDC, and both cams with the notches at 12 O'Clock. Willofan has shown the generics of setting cam timing from there. There have been publications on how to set cam timing up done before, it is all quite generic on the actual setup, working out what overlap you want will be a bit of trial and error based on what rev range you want to work at.

Have a look through here, there should be a link to the green bible in electronic form, which will tell you exactly how to set it up.

I have one that goes from top linkage down to carb link. The female sockets are white plastic & 90 mm centre to centre. The balls should be on your linkages.
    Yours if you want it.
