Default will this work ???? (1uz+tt+safc)

im in the process off twin turboing my celsior, got all the manifolds, dump pipes, intercooler and pipe work etc but now its time to think about the ecu. im thinking of using an apexi safc neo as a piggy back computer, will this do the job?
the car is only going to be running max 10psi to start with, untill the injectors get upgraded, but would ultimatley like to run 15 psi.
    any suggestions?

personally if you're putting out the money to get the 1uz twin turbo'd you might as well fork out the cash to get a proper stand alone ecu. Justen runs an autronic on his GT8. i'd doubt that the safc would allow for the range of adjustments you would really require to get the car running properly.

its really a budget job, i had the tubos and i/c lying around and a mate with an exhaust shop built me the manifolds and i/c piping for nothing, the only thing thats cost me so far is the oil return system, but thats only been about $400.
originally i was just going to run 6 psi with the standard computer as people on lextreme rekon the factory ecu will cope, but i have my doubts, thats why i want to use a piggyback computer, just 2 be a little safer.

There is no way Id be running that system on stock ECU. Allow a few grand and get yourself something capable. Talk to a good tuner and see what they reccomend.

There is a little 3 word triangle to sum this up.

    Power, Reliability, Cheapness.

You can only have 2 of the 3.

    Reliable power is not cheap
    Cheap reliability is not powerful.
    and finally
    Cheap power is not reliable.

Oh, but as for the proposal, 6psi on the factory ecu is normally fine, especially with an intercooler.

Just keep an eye on the AFR's and don't wind the boost up.

if you've got everything cheap or for nothing so far look on it as being a cheap conversion, dont go cheap on an ecu. At the end of the day its the only thing that will protect the engine from detonation and eventually a broken engine. Even if you do it on the cheap a ms ecu is capable of controlling just about anything you want to do, if your not good with ecu's and electronics theres people on the ms site that will build your ecu to the specs you want last time i looked it was something around the 500 dollar mark for a fully programmable ecu with the software , cable , loom etc.. Even a microtech , wolf ,haltech , autronic arent to bad. ranging from around the 1000 dollar mark going up to over 2000 for the ecu. if you have no idea about wiring its going to cost more but 2200 or so should get you a microtech or wolf wired in and tuned.

1UZ's are cheap as shit anyway

id suggest a fuel pressure regulator and an SAFC II, get jeff from the speed lab to tune it and she will be apples

id like to see it when its done though...if thats cool with you...always wanted to TT a celsior

If you can get it tuned on the dyno safely under all load/rpm/boost conditions then go for it.

    The operative word being safely.
