7MGE/7MGTE Heads the same?

Hey guys, gfs MA70 7mGTE head is unrepairable. Been offered a 7mge head which has been recently recod for $300. Are the heads the same? Sitting them side by side they appear to be.

Yerp.
Slight difference in the cams and from most accounts the NA cams go harder in the turbo engine.

The cam difference is minor (and it's only the intake cam that is different IIRC - it has been discussed on toymods before, http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=10064, and elsewhere as well.

Other than that, yes, the heads are identical. In fact the head on my 7m originally came from a -ge.

Thanks guys, going to cost $380 for a near new (seemingly) with resurfacing...more than i wanted to spend but at least it should be good for a while.
