Im doing the same thing bit of a pain to do as lower timing cover needs to come of but you will need to source a non hydro water pump pulley 1j or 2j pulleys work has been covered quite a bit of late.
Cheers Pete
I have done a search but seem to get mixed results on what is required to do this conversion.
My hydraulic 1jz pump is starting to make alot of noise and is close to the end so i am planning on fitting a 2jz pump.
What exactly is needed to fit the 2j pump?
Obviously need the pump but what other parts need to b changed?
Motor is in a MX83 and no longer runs a engine fan has a thermo fan mounted on the rad, will this make any diffrence.
cheers mike

probably make it easier that you don't have to worry about the fan. The studs where there would normally be a fan bolted up might be longer on the 2jz pump, should be as simple as swapping 4 off your 1jz pump, or just add washers.
Yea or a trip to bunnings or local bolt place as hydro pump only has one big bolt holding on pulley.
Pete
use a soarer 1JZGTE pump.
Elmo.
