Default replacing Diff - solid rear axle - AE86 owners may be able to help

Anybody replaced a diff in a van or hilux etc or AE86

How careful do you have to be with the leaf springs and shocks when you take them off?

Or can you leave the springs there?

The car in question is a 1992 townace van.

Anyone had any luck with using diffs from the wreckers?

Can you have some idea on condition by turning the part where the tailshaft connects to?

    Cheers!

well leaf springs have no precompressed load so they are very safe, just unbolt everything and your set

    also AE86's dont have leafs
