zorst is a pretty std thing to replace when doing an induction change, so many fiddly things u may aswell just go a full new system.

as for fuel i was thinking specifics

bigger injectors/fuel pump and regulator? is it necessary?

    bigger fuel lines?

same thing with computer, neccessity of getting a piggyback/new ecu?

oil/water lines to/from turbo will all need to be changed i know that much.

    diff?!?!?! WTF?!?!?

    and also clutch?!?!? wtf?!

bigger fuel lines? hell no boy!

bigger injectors are neccesary, id change the fuel pump, if yours is a 1GGTE pump, it'll support upto 300rwhp, but for the price fuel pumps are now, id just change it.

you could piggy back your ECU for a cheap (lower quality too) alternative to a full aftermarket ECU, but obviously, the full aftermarket ECU is best option, just the dearest.

Clutch, you'll DEFINATELY need to upgrade, go see your clutch specialist, tell him what power your aiming for, and he/she'll be able to customise something up to your requirements.

but avoid harsh clutches as much as possible, it'll save your drivetrain from damage big-time.

diff you wont need to change, however, more power will kill your clutch-pack LSD (if you have one) making it an open centre, which wont make your car un-drivable, but you wont have LSD (can still drive a dead clutch pack LSD around as an open pegger).

torsen centres are avaliable for under $600 (with diff housing, complete unit, just the centre wont be compatible with your standard diff), and truetrac G series centres for hiluxes, new, about $800-900, you'll need to reuse your diff housing.

    i think that covered everything?

I'd grab a disco potato if you can find one (GT28RS) - one of the best turbos for a 2L engine (even tho it is now a ~10 year old design)

yeah thats what im aiming for. heard it was about the most responsive turbo there is

    dual ball bearing isn't it?

biggest problem i've found with the 1g is that the cars they come in are just way too heavy for them

been looking for an old skool celica for ages so i can do the conversion into my z20 and drop the 1g into a lil rwd celica

1G can still be made to get up and boogey, just needs more work

and you should've pointed out you've got an auto,we aint mind readers!

in which case, i think its $350? ish for a shift kit? money well spent.

single turbo conversions for 1gs do run well with standard comp and injectors, as for fuel system depends what youve got already, shoot stewy (toy77) a pm he runs pretty much a bog standard 1g just with a single turbo and has run 12.5 @ 110mph so it does work quite well, obviousely though with aftermarket comp and injectors ect you will be able to get more out it though
    cheers steve,

    24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case..................coincidence?
