The carrier for the t has 10 bolts wheras the carrier for the s has 8 (this is on the flange holding the carrier to the housing).
Otherwise the s centre is 6.4" and the t is 6.7"

I was looking at buying a T series diff from wreacker but dont know how to tell the differeance between a S series diff and a T series Diff once they have been removed from a car, does any one have any phots of there diff?

you could also measure the S series crown wheel should be smaller than the t sereis. I forget the difference of the top of my head

Yeah you just need to put in a bit of effort on the searches, like try using ae86 + diff or or diff + series or something like that. Sure you have to filter through a fair amount of junk but it helps to cut down on threads being repeated (thus less junk to filter thorough when searching).
