Yesterday while driving on the Brooker Highway I spotted what appeared to be a red TA22 GT. It had bonnet scoops, stripes, badges. Anybody know of this car??

Yesterday while driving on the Brooker Highway I spotted what appeared to be a red TA22 GT. It had bonnet scoops, stripes, badges. Anybody know of this car??

its a genuine 1971 TA22 GT, its my Uncles and aunties car, he origionaly brought it about 20 years ago from the mainland
it was repainted the origional colour about 10 years ago, the GT stripes were added last year or the year before
they are bonnet flutes not scoops
the origional engine has been swapped for a 2tgeu
anything else you want to know?

flutes not scoops, apologies,I Hadn't seen it before, sort of stands out amongst the few TA's down here. Have you seen the green TA at Brighton for sale?, has a 2tgeu as well. Its rough but he now wants $800

yeah, its very clean, especialy for a flat tail light TA22
is the one in brighton a flat tail light model?

No, he had two for 2k but they were both rough, no rego etc, you may have got one slightly decent car out of the two, one had a set of old school rebels.

an old couple came up from hobart last year to look at a few of my celica parts and they wer e in an original condition ta22 st had an optional ducktail wing on it

G'day,

I just bought an AW11 MR2 down from VIctoria. I'm based in Hobart. I'd like to get involved in motorkhana type events in it.

First things first though I need to get the rego changed over which requires an inspection. It has been modified (mainly suspension and fixed back seats) so I'm having some issues. Can anyone suggest an inspection place around Hobart that is a bit more lenient towards modified cars?
