Buy a different car. You'll spend $30 grand easy setting a ST162 up to rear wheel drive. Just thing about it, you need to cut a transmission tunnel. Setup a rear diff and drive shafts, the fuel tank would probably be in the way and you'll need new rear suspension. You'll need a new engine xmember, engine mounts, sump, gearbox, need i go on. And nobody would touch the dam thing anyways, its pointless. Buy a rear wheel drive car to start with.

agreed. it's cool and all but all in all it's a bit of a waste of money. maybe an RA celica or a supra, or older corolla, soarer?

Yes, best to start with a RWD. It could take weeks of discussion to just cover why it's so expensive.

Just get another ST162 engine & gearbox, and graft it into the rear of the car.
It'll be 4WD, and have double the power of a conventional FWD or RWD car.

AT162 sounds like it they exist in Jaaahpan and export to asian market..

i suggest take out engine and chuck it into a rear wheel drive corolla or older celica... (not the RA40 though or anything newer)

just graft a rack and pinion set up on the rear, hook up a steering column and flip the seat around. then just drift it in reverse gear. easiest way i reckon.

yeah, buying an ST165 rear subframe would be a start i guess.

dunno if anything would bolt up though.

would be awesome to see though

upgrade the engine to GT2 spec (turbs, I/C, etc.) so it's got good power, and make damn good use of the handbrake! who said FWD's (FF) can't drift?

Then you'd be drifting a REAR engined rwd - even worse than trying to drift an mr2.
