Default Want to use stock ECU on my Silver top 20 Valve, KE70.

I performed a search cos i don't wanna get neg repped but i couldn't find anything?? If there is a link i'd appreciate just being told and not payed out... I'm not very good at the computering
I have a silver top 20 valve, complete loom and ecu I wanna stick in my KE70, I really don't want to use after market management, Has anyone put a 20 valve into a 70, 71, 86 with standard 4A mounts and ECU? The only real concern is the firewall... is there an easy way to modify to accomodate the distributer? and is there any issues with anything hitting brake boosters or anything??? If it's too hard to keep stock management i'll just bang a 16 valve in
    Any help appreciated.

AFAIK the main problem you have is the cooling pipes.

theres a silvertop RWD guide here somewhere, ill see if i can find it..

The way i read the post he has the silvertop ECU, but I could be wrong. He said he has the complete loom, ECu etc so I asume that means silvertop.

just cut hole in firewall to accomodate the dizzy and cap

    and remove yr heater

if u dont want ot do this

then go aftermarket ecu or 16v

you can go twin coil setup on a 20v with a 20v ecu and afew other parts but i have calculated the price to do this and its up the assss sideways

and u might aswell go ful aftermarket for bit more

but i have done ae86s with big dents in firewalls and as long as u hide it from rta and cops u should be fine maybe heheheehe

Is it possible to use a GZE CAS and Coils on the 20V ecu?

Also is it possible to put the dizzy on the front of the motor?

like i said by the time u buy shit to do the dli conversion u might aswell buy a microtech

if u dont want to cut the hole in firewall

then the best value for money is to go microtech or ems or adaptronic

dli kit in just parts will cost over 500 bucks

moving dizzy to front of engine not sure on price but i cant imagine it would be cheap

Wow!!! thanks for the input everyone! I've done a AE92 small port into and AE86, and a JDM AE86 big port into a KE70, And I wished i'd put a 20 valve in both of them, so I don't want to do another 16 valve - but I like the reliability and driveability that comes with factory management, so, here i am. I most definately am planning to use a silver top ECU with my silver top, HAHA, but thanks for the insult!!!
I would like to keep costs down as much as possible as i am a tight arse, so this is where i'm at... I can cut metal and my mate can weld, I don't like the sound of bashing the firewall in, unless it doesn't need to be bashed far and can be made to look neat??? I think i'll cut the section out and weld a recess in for the dissy... does anyone Have a pic they can post of a bashed in firewall that accomodates the dissy so i can see how far it needs to go back?? and get a rough idea of how high up the firewall it is? I would appreciate it greatly!
If the dent in the firewall has to be too big i'll prolly do that dli thing that sam has suggested, i assume it's some sort of aftermarket piggy-back style ignition???
And Thanks heaps for the help with the link Elmo, I found that link when i searched but it didn't really answer my query, very helpful for other parts of the conversion though .

im telling u the dli thing will cost u heaps if u buy the proper electronic units so if yr a tight ass yr fukt

dli unit coils another ignitor i have priced up from a company in melb was 500 to 700 dollars by time u get everything waste of money

what it does is modify signals to coil and ignitor so then u dont need a dizzy cap or rotor
u still need the crank sensor for signals

it converts the signle coil to run twin 4agze coils with twin 20v ignitiors etc
the place is in melb that sells proper units
i priced it up a year ago but for extra 300 bucks i got a microtech

which then enable u to remove air flow

just throw out yr heater and put hole in firewall

or if enigne isnt in yet maybe move enigne bit more foreward
