Agreed, was a really good drive, finally got a chance to stretch the celicas legs. I really loved the last windy stretch of road after our first stop on the way back, would do it all again just for that
Oh and sorry to all the guys that were behind me for the whole break lights not working thing

Great day guys, I have not had that much fun cruzing for a while. You boys sure know how to organize a day out. I never knew Celicas could handle they way the did. Top Driving. Didn't mind the weather, but still coming to terms with Slims mini leaving Pyro's and me behind trough the twisties . Guess its time for some good ol Dandy mountains practise runs.

    PS: Get behind this fellas

Shorten the wheelbase by about a meter on those big soarers and ya might come close to the turning circle the mini has. Might look a bit odd though
    Time to revive the 28.

Actually my Cressida (and i'd assume Soarers) has a better turning circle than my mini. Stupid old technology FWD is the reason behind that. But the mini weighing in at less than half the weight of the Cressida can definitely go round corners faster.

I haven't worked out the source of the water leak yet. I had to go to my Gran's for dinner so i parked it in her empty garage and got a lift home with my bro. It'll sit there nice and cosy in the garage until i have time to look at it.

I'm actually gonna take it off the road for a while anyhow... Totally rewiring it and installing a custom dash with lots more gauges. I imagine it won't be a quick job.

As i said, i had heaps of fun yesterday. The mini clubs are all about show and shine crap or doing tea and scones at country bakeries. I rather the cruises with some hard driving but no driving like tools. Exactly what you can expect from a Celica cruise. So i hope i'm welcome again next time.

Oh, and if i'd been properly pushing it through those twisties the Soarers wouldn't have seen me until the next rest stop/meeting point. I was just cruising along at the speed limit... only difference was that i didn't slow down for corners.

Yeah, Odd, but how much more practical.

Slim, I've no doubt you'd leave us behind, Time to look at some uber sticky tyres and then learn hwo far I can take them in the wet.

Jimmy, the 180 looks like it's in decent hands, be interesting to see it lined up against some of the other soarers that are slightly...tougher than mine a Boans.

most of the way home involved blk1ggte and myself arguing with his Nav unit, and for the most part we were right too. Dopey broad computer.

mmm. Yours was the white one? Currently putting faces to names

Not really sure how id go against soarers. probably similar down the line to a 1j? given the weight difference. In the corners, well. i think a 180 is a bit tighter - but overall they're a different car - a soarer is a luxobarge...

I cant believe how well the celica's handled the corners!

Impressive! I was second coming back after our last stop, and hard pressed to keep up to the lead dude in the silver 22 - however I havent had the car long and dont know how hard to push it yet...heh excuses. I dont know how far everyone else was behind marcus behind me - but that was definitely hella fun. cant wait to take the 180 to the twisties again...when you get your 22 going chris
