fuel gauge sender for digital dash

I have a Mx83 cressida with a JZx81 digital dash, the problem is the car was orginally a diesel and still has a diesel fuel tank. Is it possible to use the fuel pump cradle and fuel level sender unit from a soarer to get my digital fuel gauge to work?

you never know, but toyota tends to have different resistances on fuel senders between models.

same era should be compatible, but one ~5 years on, i doubt it. best to try & find the sender to suit your dash - fairly common in NZ you know (try the nz trade exchange)
