Shim sizes.

Does anyone know what the factory sizes are for the valve shims in a factory standard 18RG?

Brett...mine where anything from 2.10mm to 2.75mm thick...if you need the diameter pretty sure it 13.8mm..... guess you need a micrometer to measure them....if you are gunna do some work on your head, the green bible will help. it has the equation you need to adjust your valve clearances...(existing shim size + valve clearance measured) minus the required valve clearance = the size shim u need to buy... anyway if you need shims highly recomend chris from precision shims australia 03 97230199 he helped me out...cheers leso

leso, what did you end up paying for shims?
toyota prices are crazy.

if you are gettin your head rebuild, mark which cup and shim came from where, and when you get your valves reseated get the shop to reset the clearances. they just nip a little of the valve stem rather than fucking around with shims...
shims make me want to commit suicide.
