    Default Question re W58

    Hey guys,

Went to buy a box yesterday, and I asked for a JZA80, and they must of gave me an older model, without remote shifter, and the mounting holes, only had two, rather than 3 holes.

I took it back to the wrecker, they were fine in exchanging it for a remote shifter box, but they were saying, its the same thing just swap the rs over. Too me, it looked physically smaller.

    Any light on this?

The box itself will be the exact same size. The rear housing will be different though, so that may attribute to the illusion of being smaller. If it had a steel sandwich plate, and was about the same size, it'd have to be a W5X. The nearest smaller alloy box is a T50 and it's a LOT smaller, and the nearest bigger one is the R154, which is a LOT bigger

    Hope that helps.
