Just keeping an eye on this as I may be interested in joining up for part of the trip up to Sydney, the only problem is you come 500m from my parents place in Shellharbour but I would want to join you from Nowra and enjoy Kangaroo Valley and Macquarie Pass. Anywho, you may also get a few Sydney-siders tagging along at various parts of that trip anyway.

Also, keep me updated with where you are likely to be staying in Sydney so I can arrange the dinner location to suit and let me know if you would be interested in a different location, as long as its easy to get to by public transport?

Haha, you may have to introduce yourself to Loz yourself Riv, then you can point her here

Clint hasn't indicated he wants to come on the roadtrip, but I'd be very surprised if he wasn't there for Toyotafest. He's out in the bush atm.

Don't have accommodation plans as yet in Sydney. Last time we bummed off Toymodders, but if there is enough of us, it might be economical enough to just rent a place, I believe Clint has done that in the past.

    Hi,

Yeah... I'm just too incorrugible (or however it's spelt).

PS: Which reminds me... there's only 5 months to ToyotaFest and I got three cars to get into shape. I fear that both time and money will limit what I can display this year.

    Need dates and more details.

Is the itinerary still modifiable or is it pretty much set in stone?

Sorry, been stuck trying to fix my car

Start date is Saturday 25th of September 2010, I've updated the first post, thanks for reminding me. There isn't much room to budge on the timeframe before Sydney, although the route is open to tweaking within reason. After Sydney we're a little more flexible. The first day after is quite long, so we spend less time in rural NSW, and more time being able to catch up with people in Brisbane. We're also going that way to avoid some of the traffic of the NSW school holidays.

What did ya have in mind bud?

A wise person has made the suggestion that perhaps we kill the Port Arthur section of the trip, and spend more time checking out stuff like Coles Bay etc. I'm keen to do this, as it means a little more time seeing stuff I've not seen. I've already been to Port Arthur a few times so I'm cool with it. What say you Peewee?

    I'm up for anything.
One of the guys at work has suggested that as soon as we leave Broome, we make a bee line straight for home (ie, via Newman). He reckons there is SFA for us to see in 2WD cars in the time we have alloted.
And anything we could see can be seen from an overnight trip from Perth (ie Shark Bay/etc).

Reckons to spend more time in the Kimberly/NT seeing what we can.
Also reckons there is more to see via the inland road from Port Hedland to Perth than the coast.

Right on. I will remove Port Arthur and continue the maps. Find out from your mate what he reckons to see, and I'll start looking at what routes are available.

I just realised if I bring my gf along we'll have 3 "Crystal"s of various spellings.

    Shouldn't be confusing at all
