Default Temporary fix needed, Ideas please!

    Hey guys,
The story goes the battery in my AW11 died, I bought a replacement battery then found out the connections were too small for the new battery. Now I am actually planning on having a battery relocation some time in the near future so as a temporary fix I bought some screw on terminals. The problem is that my negative terminal on the battery is smaller than my positive, can anyone suggest an extremely temporary method of packing the negative terminal so I get a good connection to get to work and back tomorrow and then find a replacement on the weekend?
    Cheers

    Jon

get some old copper wire (preferably old house power wire, with thick copper strands) and wrap around to make up some thickness.
failing that, some 1mm aluminium sheet (or 0.5mm wrapped around a few times).. sand the surface of the ally before using to reduce oxide thickness...

or failing all that.. a bunch of appropriately sized cut off chunks of nails

i guess... ideally... you would measure the difference in size, then get some wire with thickness half that, and wrap around the terminal (the one connected to the wire) and then clamp it onto the battery....

so is the hole too small in the negative post for your screw on connector? or is the post to small for the connector to get a decent clamp.
if you cant clamp it up tight, put it on lose and jam a couple of screws between the post and the connector, then clamp it up.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, it was the clamp was too large for the battery terminal way too loose. But apart from that problem all solved, I crushed the Negative clamp slightly with a small vice so it is a nice tight fit (thank whoever for cheapo battery terminals). This should get me through until the relocation to the frunk happens.
    Cheers again.
