    Default 7A aftermarket conrods

Does anyone know of a supplier of aftermarket conrods for the Toyota 7AFE engine?

Have done a little research and so found have only found
Argo and Pauter as the only ones who have them listed.

I am not too familar with all the other conrod manufacturer's in Australia,
so any info or help will be appreciated.

If I'm not mistaken Pauter is where Bill Z got his rods for his planned 225+hp 7AF.
Information is POWER... learn the facts!!

    Nope.
    I don't like Pauter rods at all. And it's a 4AFE mate.

Any particular reason? Quality/price/availabliity/manager slept with your sister?

Planning on Turbo 20V 7a so aiming for closer too 400hp than 225.

Currently have around 320ish out of the 1600 so hope to get 60 to 80 more with extra 200cc or so.

Not sure why Bill doesn't like the Pauter rods but I did a huge amout of research and found them to be the best for my application. I have these in conjunction with the Arias 11:1 pistons. The Porsche racers use the Pauter rods an awful lot in the states and over here. If it is O/K for them I thought also that it would be O/K for me.

I could not be happier with the quality and finish of the rods. They are a work of art. My engine is now assembled and in the middle of wiring up the aftermarket ecu but I will keep you informed.

FYI I purchased them got a lot of help and advice from Nick Arias who is the son of the piston manufacturer and he swares by Pauter rods. I would think he would know his stuff when it comes to pistons and rods. If you want I could give you his contact details.

    Cheers

I muchly prefer just a conventional h-beam rod, I'm not keen on the Pauter style shape at all.
