    if you want to play with glass, do some google research about it, buy a cheap it from bunnings and have a play. it's actualy easy to work with once you've sussed it out.

    stainless would hold alot of heat wouldnt it?
    and not cool as fast as alloy?

    also doesn't heat up as fast.....

    Any metal object bolted to a cylinder head (ie constant source of heat) is always going to be hot, so I don't think the material used will make a lot of difference.

    alloy seems to heat up prity quick and hold it IMO.
