i dont think there is an option but i could be wrong. best bet just get a custom one piece made up for a coupla hundred dollars.
hi all.
i currently have a 4agte, t50, s-series in my sprinter. now ive just got my f-series back from having sprinter mounts put on it. and i picked up my 4a-w5x bellhousing last saturday. but what id like to know is is there any tail shaft combination that will work with either end of my setup? ie. ra40 front half to suit w5x to the center bearing?
i have a recolection of sombody coming up with a combination that works for atleast one end of the two-peice tail shaft, but i cant for the life of me find the thread, anyone have any clues?
i know i always have the custom tail shaft option and its probobaly my only way out but i was sure i had seen a thread regaurding mixing and matching.
cheers,
craig.

yea bugger i wanted to put the diff in first, and then a few months later put the gearbox in, as its my daily driver so having it off the road is a pain! cheers dude.
why a few months later? prob have the car off the road for a coupla days max. slap the gearbox and diff in in a couple of hours, get measurements, go to tailshaft place with measurements and pick up the next day. mine was done same day.
still need to make custom crossmember, clutch slave is on the other side so new line ect. to make that work. whatever dramas to make the shifter fit in the right place. i just dident want to get to excited and plan a stupid amount of work and not enough time to do it all, like i normaly do! but looks as though i have no choice. ahh well having no car to get to work in is good motovation.
Craig, bolt the box in, bolt the diff in, get the length and angle measurements, and go down to BPM Driveshafts in Brooky( i think they're still there, my mate got a custom 1 piece 3" tailshaft made for his R32 for $300) and they should be able to make it up without any difficulty.
i think they are in cromer now dude, just off the cromer 1000/drag strip. ive heard a few bad things about them (crazy expensive, realy over engineering stuff ect) but the price they did your mates for sounds fair. i think that maybe my best option, hopfully i can bludge the use of a hoist for a night/weekend to make the whole shebang a bit easyer. cheers for the tip off mate.
p.s. when is this car of yours getting a propper tune with the single on? are you happy with the job redline did?
I would have a look at RA60 tailshafts..

BPM are in Cromer now? This is the guy that used to be in Garden St, Warriewood isn't it? Bob Miller or something, pretty sure BPM is his intials. Always had nice cars in and around there, nice rods and stuff. He seemed like a friendly helpful bloke the once or twice i spoke to him.

Cri_ag - RA40 and RA60 are models I've heard bandied around before. I heard recently that RA40 front section suits W58 to T series rear half in AE86. That's the reverse of what you plan to do though.
Getting a custom shaft and then having the front yoke changed shouldn't be too hard or expensive. There are plenty of places that do it. Just check the yellowpages.

I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.
