    Sorry mate, ALWAYS is a strong word.

    Now can you post another pic showing the bottom close up so i can see the 1/2oz magnet, crap poly cone, & shitty rubber that are all older than sound itself...

    Lets re-phrase: 99.999% of 6X9's produced by a quality manufacturer in this century are coaxial.

    I don't know that this is still on topic and i have probably missunderstood why everyone is talking about 5.1 ect ect.

    But in a properly designed system the rear speakers work with the front speakers to eliminate direction. like if you sit in my car you can't really tell where the sound is comming from, its seems to be with you instead of comming out of your door. i always thought that was the point in front and rear fill. I hope that makes as much sense as it does to me...

    In 7 or so years of working in car audio I have only ever heard one car (built by Sony of all people), that had an accurate sound stage. It had no rear speakers but the dsp could do some wierd stuff so you would swear it did.
    The whole thing with cars is they are acoustically shit, there is no way around that. Just do your system how you like it, not based on other peoples opinions. Its you who listens to it the most, not anyone else.

    With the whole idea of 'accuracy' - forget it. Car audio gear will never produce music 'accurately', and don't forget that when creating a record, accuracy isn't exactly a priority - nearly always, the plan is to make something that sounds much bigger than reality. Compression, reverb, EQ, etc. are distorting reality in a big way, but for the purpose of making something sound better to the target audience. Likewise, I've never heard a car system that I'd say was even remotely accurate, but I've heard some that have sounded very good. So, as said above, listen to as much gear as you can before you buy it, buy what you like, and install it properly to avoid nasty head losing incidents.

    Just to add one thing to Mr Shin & GT Twin;

    Dont let a flashy retail setup in a purpose built wall acompanied by sweet talkingly sales reps tune your ears too much to "what you like", you will more likely end up tuned in for "what everyone seems to like and ironically makes massive profits for manufacturers"

    Learn about what you buy. Installation is FAR MORE IMPORTANT than most poeple acknowledge. If you want to save a buck, save it on speakers, not on install!!!

    Guys, why has a question about boxing a pair of 6x9's become a penis measuring contest?

    6x9's are poor quality by nature, it doesnt matter how they are manufactuered, they are crap.

    any 2/3/4/5 way speaker will be poor quality, if quality is the goal, a different speaker for each range is needed.

    Boxing 6x9's or not, ive not noticed a difference in a few cars ive been in.

    if i were you i wouldnt bother, if your looking for quality, buy a pair of 6"'s and a subbie, or some decent splits.
