Once the car is at normal operating temps and I turn it off for a few minutes. It starts without a problem but if it stands for a bit longer, I have to crank it for about 5 seconds.
I have read somewhere else that the FPR is to blame and once it was replaced by an aftermarket unit, the problem was fixed.
Could I just replace the old one with a new unit from Toyota instead of an aftermarket unit?
Any tips and help greatly appreciated.

yeah, if you want to replace the standard one then thats no worries.
some cars also have a no return valve in the fuel pump that screws up, allowing the fuel to run back into the tank. causing a little longer start time cause the pump has to prime the system first.
