    Default 3sfe throttle body help

I recently pulled a 3S-FE throttle body off an older model camry (square shaped ones...)

anyway, on the bottom of the throttle body there are 3 hose barbs, 2 are for coolant (in -> out) and the 3rd i suspect is for an EGR setup

can anyone confirm that the 3rd hose barb is for EGR?

if you are wondering why i would want a 3s-fe throttle body it is because it is 50mm (starlet is 45mm) and has the same IACV as the starlet. Also shares the same bolt pattern, so it bolt straight up, just need to fit the starlet TPS to it

i just went outside and had a look.

it connects to a VSV on the other (drivers side) of the intake plenum, but due to my severely limited 3SFE knowledge, i dunno if its EGR or not.

best i can do is take a pic for ya.

Those three barbs ( 2 coolant, 1 vacuum ) are for the ISC valve.

The vacuum hose runs to a VSV on the other side of the manifold.
    (as previously mentioned)

There will be a small steel tube that is bolted to the underside of the manifold. The vacuum hose connects to it, the another hose on the other end, up to the VSV.

If this is blocked off, the ISC valve will not function correctly. ( the car may stall when the a/c is switched on)

so that barb is the outlet of the IACV (inlet is inside the TB before the butterfly)? so it should connect to the intake after the throttle body so as to allow the extra air to bypass the throttle and increase idle speed then?

    yeah, something like that.

If it will help, pm me your email address and I can send you the photo of the setup from the w/s manual.

Our digital camera is stuffed, otherwise I'd lift the bonnet on our camry and take a photo.
