Default Looking for a wideband 02 sensor, are PLX R-500 meters any good?

Well I got bored and started looking at a wideband 02 sensor so I can start tuning my car myself, and also keep an eye on my mixtures.
I have found a PLX Devices R-500 Wideband O2 Air/Fuel Ratio meter for around $300, does anyone have any experience with these, as far as accuracy, user interface etc. goes? It supposedly can do some pretty good shitwell it all sounds good to me!)

Powerful PC analysis software included (PLX Logger Version 2.1+ Free Download)
Field firmware upgradeable (more features added to R-500 regularly

I have been looking at a few different kits, like some of the ones on www.wbo2.com, and also found a PLX SM-AFR kit from Forcefed for around $550
My mate that tunes my car at the moment uses this kit http://wbo2.com/3b1/default.htm
and it is a sweet piece of gear, but I don't know if I want to spend that much money on something I don't really need. It would just be nice to be able to stop hassling him every time I feel like messing with the tune, and to know for sure whats going on every time I feel a flat spot or get a bit of surge! I'm sure he would appreciate it too!
If I do decide to purchase one I would rather spend the extra coin knowing I have an accurate meter, than save a few hundred only to find I can't get the mixtures right because I got a cheap inaccurate kit!
I did a search and found a few ppl on here have used various kits from the wb02 site and been happy, but just curious about the PLX kits and anything else that is floating around for a similar price!
I would also like to connect it into my microtech LT8 if that is possible? in my search I saw talk of being able to do that with a $50 mod to the microtech and using the PLX SM-AFR. Does anyone have any more info on the usefulness/accuracy of that? and if it is possible with the other kits?

Thanks in advance for any info!
    Cheers.

Anyone ever recommend FJO? They build to military spec! They have a few short vids of how much torture their stuff withstands!
