Default removing emulsion tubes from DGV

I've scored a coupla 32/36 DGVs and first order of business is to give them a cleanup.
After removing the holders, the emulsion tubes are refusing to fall out in a willful and wanton display of bad manners. I don't want to go stuffing bits of wire and whatnot down there to encourage them ... I'm sure I'll screw the brass ...

any hot hints from toymods land?

    cheers,

Have you tried turning it upside down and smacking it on a hard surface?

A quick squirt of carbie cleaner might soften any goop holding them in as well.

If soaking in WD40 or Penetrene for a few days does not dislodge then, I have wound a self-tapping screw into the top, by hand, gently. Then pull on the self-tapper with pliers.

    thanks for replies so far.
WD40 is currently (hopefully) wielding its magic - no amount of knocking, shaking, swearing etc has produced the desired result.

If the worst comes to the worst, I'll see if some compressed air will do the job - but that will involve dodgey bits of tubing and a paintball air cylinder!

    cheers,
