Havent used one myself but have read about them.

AFAIK: they are just as up-rated spring to provide more oil pressure.

Some guys just stick a 3mm washer under the spring to get a little more pressure.

If you are going all out on the engine it may be worth it. But $90 ....... like i said some guys just stick a washer under the spring to do the same job.

I havent done anything to my pump and i have fairly good oil pressure considering the large bearing clearances i run.

I will prob be putting a washer under the spring next build.

Anyone out there with a hks oil pressure spring or a washer upgrade for that matter ???

isn't the kit just a 3 or 4mm brass spacer that is machined so the end fits in the (stock) spring???

edit: i also have a feeling the ones on yahoo and this one are just copies.. ie, stock spring, machined bit of brass, and a photocopy of the instructions
but i might be wrong...

I have seen the hks ki one thier web site. From memory it was a different spring.

I tried searching for it yesterday on their site so i could post the link ...... but i could no longer find it there.

I guess they dont make em anymore


Making one from brass would be the go (havent seen one) and would be easily knocked up on the lathe.

2mm change, and cost 3600 yen (not sure how long ago)
s opposed to 4250yen on yahoo.. and $90 from that site (ie, he buys them off yahoo anyway)
