What is a Nav Run?
you and a navigator follow route or navigation instructions - think of it as an introduction to road/tarmac rallying.
Driving at road legal speeds you follow different kinds of instructions and along the way you have clues to solve. I tests your powers of observation, map reading, following directions and your willingness to get along with your navigator who may or may not have got your very lost 6 corners ago![]()
Clues are usually signs or other big things you can see from your car. Sometimes the clues require you to get out of the car to collect a clue or hint.
Is about 2 hours (max) to complete the course which is run on sealed roads in Brisbane. If it's a daytime event, we end up at a BBQ location, if it's a night-time event we rock up at a late-night McDonalds for coffee and junkfood.
Scoring is based on the distance your cover (e.g. trip meter is important), clue reading/observing accuracy and time taken (too fast looses points, as does too slow).
You need a torch if it's a nightime even, a UBD, sharp pencil(s), mobile phone (when all is lost you can phone up for a hint) and a map reading light.
this sounds so much fun.
