Chris i was always told to never T a boost gauge as you will get incorrect results so yes that is probably what is up with yours, although my boost gauge has a dedicated port and still reads stupid!

but how am I supposed to know that the same thing is correct?Can't really watch the boost guage when I am hammering it. Not enough time.

My opinion is that a dedicated line is the way that you will be guaranteed not to have flow dynamics in low ID pipes affect absolute pressure to the sensor, failing that I think what Karl said is sound advice. FPR is gonna be next least likely.
If you must tee it, try and find one of those obscure even thrids split ones (like the mercedes symbol, without the outside ring)
