Default Locking convertor on the dyno.

Will my lockup converter or anything else fry if I lock it up on the dyno for a power run?

If it's a stocker converter I couldn't guarantee it won't slip-but having said that-if it did slip all that will happen is that the clutch in the converter fries and it won't hold.

If you do cook it, an upgraded converter from MV would be undr $500, and the clutch in mine held for 538rwkw.

Give it a go-but do it back to back after a non-locked run to see the difference-my guess is maybe 10rwkw extra.

Sean if yours held with 538rwkw and 2 times the torque of my 2J I think it will be OK. That logic sound reasonable? Also I will be getting a new stall soon anyway.

I didn't use mine on the dyno last time either.

I have a different to stock stally but I don't think they upgraded the lockup clutch.

If it will slip is it more likely to do it on the dyno or the track?

Say it is only going to last a little while then I would prefer to use it on the track than on the dyno

There will be more load on the track. Plus you will more than likely need to lock it under power on the track which is what would cause the damage. You can lock it on the dyno before you apply power.
