    Hhaha, I've been down this track...was crazy and put a digital tacho on a camry....best way to get it, on the -ve from the coil, which on my camry, and I can't remember what engine was but in the distributer cap. I'll try to dig up my old thread for you...

    OK, some more info, camry was an SV20, with the almight 1S, I can't find any more info, the search on the old forums isn't the best, but goto www.toymods.org.au and search for digital tacho.

    if its a 3s-fe, just find the tach out from the ECU.. too easy

    IIRC the black wire on your ignitor which is by the side of your battery.

    As mentioned:

    Option 1- Black wire from Ignitor.
    Option 2- ECU RPM signal.
    Option 3- Tacho wire behind the cluster.

    be careful taking the wire from the ignitor, too much load on that wire could send the signal to your ECU up the spout, and then you will have real problems.
