    Default SDMA Hillclimb 1st April

    Hi All,

The SDMA Hillclimb is on again this Sunday. Any of the Toymods crowd going? I'll be there again in the Twin Cam. And I'll try to take some action shots this time as well.

Spectators are most welcome - costs nothing but your time.

    Cheers,
    Todd

Huntley Hill-Climb is on on the same day, so I suppose some people will be split in their choices lol.

I'll try to make some time to come out and watch.

Had a great day on Sunday. Beat my previous best time in the Corolla by more than a second (best is now 56.33) and managed 3rd in class (6 cars in the class including two other Corollas - a KE55 and AE82 single cam) - beaten by the usual Gemini and an MX5 (who I had beat until the 5th run where he ran a 55.05). So, another trophy for the collection.

Seems new leads & plugs, K&N Filter, a run through of injector cleaner and Subaru upper engine cleaner did the job - car felt a lot stronger.

But need to get it fixed - almost failed scrutineering on play in rack end & tie rod. Thinking of getting a reco'ed manual rack put in. And then finally getting the more race friendly alignment I keep saying I need...

Photos taken (mostly action so no idea how they turned out) - will post a link once I get a chance to put them on my site.

    Cheers,
    Todd

Looks like a lot of fun. I hope to join in around September.

What is the legality of sea food extender? I know you're not allowed to have a quick feast in a street car but am unsure of just the extender.

It is heaps of fun. Even if you're not joining until Sept, come along to one of the meets and have a chat to people running there and watch what goes on. Very informative and good entertainment - helps when you start to race.

Plus I'd like to blag a sit in your MR2 to see if I fit in one...
