hey now that uv brought it up. . .
is there any difference between a side feed and top feed injector apart from the obvious?
While trying to find 1JZ & 2JZ standard injector capacity and lag time i came across this link...
http://www.williams.co.tt/s15/inj_side-en.htm
I'm wondering how accurate the information is? (2JZ injector = 430cc??)
What do you think?
JZA70|R / 12.45 @ 111 mph.

That is saying that the 1jz and JDM 2jz injectors outflow their rating but the US 2jz ones underflow assuming 3 bar fuel pressure even though it is actually 42psi.
That could be why some people believe some big power figures can be obtained with the 440's and others believe 550's aren't enough?
side feed injectors are also cooled by being inside the rail/in the fuelOriginally Posted by VeeP
so are JDM 2JZ injectors 430 or 440cc?

dont know, but at 45 psi they flowed 500cc,Originally Posted by JZA70 R
and the supposed 550's we replaced them with from USA spec one's flowed 600cc at 45psi.

Are side feed injectors more likely to introduce pressure pulses in the rail?

Maybe internet rumours.
