AND AS MK II HUBS FIT RT104 DOES THAT MEAN MS65 FIT RT104?

ST162 and SV21 rear brake rotors, calipers and handbrakes are identical. I think this also applies to the ST184 and ST204 Celicas.
It wouldn't surprise me if the rear hubs and other suspension components were also the same, but I haven't put two side by side to compare them.

as i have done a few of these drum to disc conversion's here is what i know so far ! The corona RT142 or RT141 disc brake rear will fit straight into the RA40 and RA60, ( plug & play ) use's corona handbrake cables, and for W57 manual i have used the tail shaft from an auto RT141-142,
When i have done RA22,s it is best to get a RA23-28 diff as they have the same wheel bearing & stud's,you will also need the uni' joint for the tailshaft.
So when doing the RA23-28 disc upgrade, you will kneed a RT141-142 dona' diff for parts like bearing retainer plates L&R, also 2 x drivers side handbrake cables ( this is the short one ) and 8 new 10mm x45mm long metric fine High tensile bolts ( these will use the orig' nuts). you will also have to cut off the old shocker mounts & weld the mounts on from the dona' diff, as the shockers will hit the new calipers if you don't .
While i think of it, if you want to put drivers side clutch slave into AE71, the hardline & mount from a T-18 fits straight in, the mount in the chassis rail only has 1 hole tapped, i just used a larger bolt and tapped into the sheet metal, its hardly a load bearing mount
OK then ! the RA60 electronic dizzy parts will also fit the 2T , 2TG , 3T dizzy's with a small mod to vac' thingy .Originally Posted by chris_rg

RN47 is a 4WD hilux, and has 4 piston callipers. The vented callipers normally used are Pugeot items. Search the tech section and ye shall find the corona/hilux/pugeot brake upgrade, its quite a popular one. Seems it may work for 104 as well.Originally Posted by RT104GT

Doing the things that aren't popular... cause being popular and being good are often distinctly different.
The axles from a Mark 2 MX13 are thick fine splined and fit the F series 7.5 inch diff housing/centre as used in Mark 2, However Corona GT and possibly RA40 Celica GT are a HALF INCH 1.5 CM SHORTER so dont use Mark 2 in Corona it will crunch the spider shaft.
Bearings are all the large series and identical and the open carrier bearings of that size fit the main and input shafts of a P51 gearbox.

nope, i spent the afternoon down at pick-a-part pulling rear disks off 4 cylinder camrys! I think they might've been upgraded on the face-lift models?
Also, the VZV21 uses the same front brake pads as the Aus spec. ST185 GT-Four. The rotor is 20mm smaller in diametre, but it should have the same effective braking power without the extra weight? All XV21 camrys and FWD / AWD celicas up to the ST205 also use the same rear brake pads.
Not quite, the increase in rotational diameter changes the braking capacity quite significantly. A car which uses the same calipers and same pads but with the discs 20mm wider will brake better than the disc which is 20mm narrower.Originally Posted by AndyTTR

I'm assuming you meant to say "20mm larger diameter" rather than 20mm wider?
Given the torque = force x distance thing.
Cant see how a wider disc would brake better, except for fading properties?
