Maybe you chassis is twisted? OR you have a stuffed wheelbearing.
ok my ae86 has gone threw 2 engines a 20v and now 1ggte and i have a serious problem, when i throttle up the car feels like it wants to pull out of control to 1 side as if thier was soemthing wrong with the rear end and i just cant figure out whats wrong everything in the rear end is completely stock except for the cut springs the car was lowered a couple of inches and some kyb shocks, i know it could be a heap load of things can you guys just point me in the right direction

stuffed wheel bearing explain the symptoms please![]()
Could your diff being out of allignment cause this to happen? If you have lowered it at the rear it will shift to one side slightly due to the panhard rod.
Worn rear bushes maybe.
When you say throttle up do you mean like doing a skid (sik bro)
its definatly a rear end problem
That doesnt explain the fact thet it only happens under throttle. If it were a bent chassis it would just exibit the symptoms all the time.
Are all the trailing arm bushes in a good state?
Does the car have locker/LSD? if so are both rear tyres the same profile height/pressure?
my dif is welded same tires dont know fi the preasure is the same, and no i dont know what state my bushings are in
does it try to turn right?Originally Posted by Regan
does it happen with a passenger in the death seat?
do you still have stock bushes on the arms of the rear suspension?
have one of the cute springs become uncaptive? (change them for proper springs)

another thing to add to the list maybe: Bent diff housing causing slight toe? Measure rear toe and if out get axle housing fixed.
flat tyre one side
tyre camber bald on one side
stuffed bearing one side
alignment.. out of alignment
grabbing disc/shoe on one side
dead shock one side
bent strut
bent chassis

Cut springs?
Maybe the diff is hitting the bump-stops, as that will make the car behave very strangely. Does it also feel odd when cornering hard?

the rearend can be aligned heh?didnt know. yea the stock bushings are in the car never been replaced ive only owned the car for about 7 months dont know if the previous owner has changed them, maybe i should check the bushings heh is it a good posibility that its the bushings ? when i accelerate hard it feels like the rear end of the car wants to go somewhere else and when i correct and keep accelerating it keeps pulling not more but the car gets really nervous, like it could easily get out of control
and explain uncaptive?the suspension feels fine
Your first problem, you have a heap of power up front with a standard rear suspenion. What has been done to front suspenion?
The cig diff is not the problem, the springs are not heavy enough and the bushes probably need changing.
You did not say which way the car was going, is it going the same side as the motor is spinning,if so , it is in your suspenion and you probably need some bracing as well.
Go and see a suspenion place and see what they can do, other wise you wil end up putting it a tree.

We had the same problem in our sprinter rally car. Turned out holes for the bolts on the mounts on the body and diff had became slightly larger (not to the eye but once measured)due to the amount of abuse the car cops, even though they were always tight. Simple solution, plate all the mounts. Can easily happen too if you bolts loosen up, by the time you notice they have slackened off its too late the damage is done. Even if you do use loctite on your bolts it is still worth checking!
