perhaps the use of a fuel regulator and adjust the base pressure up would be more suitable in this situation.
i've had to get the head skimmed on vermins ge (have found a little whoop in the middle), it's a 7 rib bigport with 10.5:1 c/r pistons. i've asked to only take whats needed to get the head true.
this engine is still running all the original bigport 9.4:1 c/r, ecu, injectors ect. (and goes prity hard).![]()
is there a slightly larger cc injector that is a plug and play with the bigport ecu? i know i can play with my timing, but wondering this as well.
thanks.

thanks for the reply lance.
drove the car around today after putting the newly skimmed head back on (i think they took more than i asked!!). didnt really notice any detonation other than what sounded like some at real low revs slowly accelarating then it goes.??
one thing i have noticed is the car idles like it has a lumpy cam with a slight miss, i've checked for vacum leaks and couldnt find anything.
can raiseing the c/r cause a lumpy idle?
Could the cam timing have possibly been put out due to the shaved head?, usually the lumpy idle will be due to the cam duration and overlap etc, do you have adjustable cam gears?
thanks poogy, thats a possibilty too. it only burbles at idle and once the revs are raised it seems to run smooth. though sometimes at a raised idle it does sound like there is a miss.
also i never checked the valves when i had the head off. i spose if i wasnt so ghetto i would of pulled them out and lapped them.
anyways it seems to pull hard and only burbles/misses at idle. sounds good IMO with the HKS system on it.![]()
