is he forgetting to enter all his details?
unless ALL membership fields are filled in his application will be rejected by the admins.
If he gets all iffy re: chassis ID and such, remember the chassis ID is ma61 (for example), not the chassis number
My mates trying to join the forum, but he tells me his application keeps getting knocked back. He will go through the process of making a forum account, and goes as far as waiting on confirmation from the admins. He waits and eventually it says "invalid user specified"...
When it says that, he can re-sign up with the same email, login and password, but before that he cant use any of the same details. If he does it says "email address or user name is in use".
Can anyone explain why its doing this??
Thanks in advance,
Jason

I had that exact thing smokey, i kept trying to view pics and it wouldnt let me. It took about a week for my account to activate, and in fact it was only activated yesterday. Just tell him to wait and he will recieve an email saying his account is fully activated.
Cheers

Yeah the mods board is quite small and we all have cars off the road at the moment so we aren't on to approve apllications all the time we get about 20 a day. Sometimes we get more or less. to get to all these takes some time.

I have tried my best to explain to the guys you are busy, they have been trying to signup and haven't had a response, one was an active member in the old forums. Just thought I let yas know.
If in doubt power out
Perhaps allocate some more people as semi-mods? That are longtime or known users and reputable. It can only help if the forums gets as big as the last one.
It requires admin rights to be able to approve applications, so no there won't be more people added.
What tends to be the cause for people who have applied repeatedly is that they do not reply to the email address check email. I assume because they have spam filters removing the email. If they don't reply to this they are never listed for approval.
