    Default sc300 1jz swap help

hey guys, i've got a 92 lexus sc300 and i recently purchased a 1jz to replace my 2jzge. anyway the 1jz is out of a jzx 90 chaser. its an auto with trc, i have a w58 which i will be using instead of the auto tranny. the engine is mounted inside the car and my only issue is wiring right now. none of the body plugs match the body plugs on the car, so i had to make my own harness to connect nessary accessories on the engine to the body plugs. the engine will turn over but i have no spark or fuel. my fuel pump turns on and so do most of my guages. and i have fuel pressure up to the fuel rail. unfortunatly for me i could not locate english wiring diagrams for the jzx90 chaser so im kinda out of ideas right now. if anyone has any ideas i would be extremely glad to hear them. thanks!

have you done the wiring for the ignition and alternator near the fuse box?

and the wiring (IGSW, fuel pump etc. etc.) on the body plugs behind the glovebox?

i know you said you've done some, but obviously it wont run unless they're all done, just curious as to what you have done...?

hi thanks for the reply, the ignition and alternator are hooked up, which plugs specifically are you talking about? theres an 8 and a 3 pin connector at the main fusebox in the engine bay.
as for the igsw, fuelpump they are wired up using this pinout

im pretty sure the fuelpump is running correctly, i can hear it turn on and run when cranking the engine. i hooked up the STA and NSW pins on the ecm to my clutch switch. is this the correct way to bypass the auto trans park neutral switch? im pretty sure the engine fired once using starting fluid. all times after that i got nothing. i removed a plug and grounded it to see if i had spark but it didnt look like it.

it coul dbe a million things

    is the ecu powered up
have u hooked up the check engine or mil light
if you have then this will turn on when ecu is on

its not an easy wiring job if done properly
    takes ages

but get a noid light and check the injectors
    check for powerr at injectors
    check for power at ignitor

i could go on and on but will take all day

how have u checked for injection and spark

if it has started on starting fluid i guess yr injerctors have no power

if its a 1j from an sc300 then u have propably forgoten to power up "all" the injectors

look carefully and u will see where u fuct up

this is a common problem people forget about when wiring soarer 1js up

hey thanks for the reply, i will be reviewing my injector wiring this weekend, the 1j is out of a jzx90 so the body plugs dont match my sc300 body plugs....

i cant believe how many people buy engines even from similar cars and expect them to plug straight in

its the bloody motor trade the only way they make money is to change designs every fuking year and sell new parts to tight asses

i would not have a job if everything plugged straight in

for me is a fgull day job getting everything to work properly and also to look std

if it takes anyone less then i hate to see what the job looks like

ive seen pics on the conversion page and fukt i would admit to owning some of those cars

by the looks of the wiring hehehehehehe

    anyway good luck with it
