At this Stage it will Still be held on that long weekend
It's going to confuse people with the long weekend starting in September that it is still the "october" long weekend.
I realise I'm getting in fairly early with questions here, but due to a work stuffup I'm now unable to attend Toynats. As a result, the airfares I have with Jetstar must either be lost (not keen on this option), or transferred to another date. The first event over East I thought I'd like to attend with certainty is Toyfest 2007.
So can I confirm:
Toyota Fest will still be on the September/October long weekend (ie - Saturday September 29th - October 1st)?
As I'm in Perth and Jetstar generally sucks for us living here (all my best intentioned plans about sharing my travel expenditure around the different flight operators gone! ), also means I only have the option of flying into Melbourne from Perth, so my next question is:
Anyone from Melbourne with intentions of also travelling up for the show?
At the end of the day, if I can organise a good broadstroke of plans around Toyfest, so be it, if not - I'll simply use the flights for some other frivolous means sooner or later, but I do need to make a decision before March 23rd - so not alot of time to decide!?!

Well the other guy I work with has just told me he's definately having Easter off, So I may yet still attend Toynats?! Currently trying to nut it out, but that's not easy from Butt Fuck Idaho?!
I suppose this is also the appropriate place to ask, if it will again be "Toyfest Week" with boozy BBQ's, trips to the Lowenbrau, Drags and Movie nights around the car show too?!?

Well, work has been sorted, I'll be at Toynats now, although in an abridged version of my origial itinerary, so no great hassle on the lack of Toyfest plans thus far!
It was great how the Toyota Fest week panned out last year, so i can see us putting together something similar this time round again. We'll get some details up soonish, so as anyone planning the interstate trip can work out itineraries. There's one thing for sure though... it will be worth the trip

The car show aspect of Toyota Fest is held down at the Reading Cinema's car park at Parramatta Road at Auburn, with the other activities around Sydney.

best weekend ever - good times good times ..
I may try to get there for an international visit , providing i can swing some funds and time off in its general direction .. Most funds are being piled into bringing back a Stinking hot St205 for the 2008 ish show if i decide to return then , but i think a weekend over in sydney could be funded - with an extension to cover drags to spectate and see stitts mighty wagon doing unnatural things again ( and clint doing unnatural things , but thats another story !
