basically, the two outside bolt holes need to be "filed out"

do a search, a picture of the differences was posted on here not long ago.

look for a thread in general discussion regarding ebay turbo manifolds there is a picture comparing a 20v flange and 16v gasket, you can see the diference for your self.

andy, you might want to edit that with all the reps flying around.

if it is a 20 valve 4AGE in a RWD application, there is a very good reason for adapting 16 valve headers to fit.

We are talking about a 20V fwd to RWD conversion hence the stock extractors cannot be used as the engine is now mounted north south.

andy, i didnt mean delet your post, just you wrote "16 valve headers don't fit 20 valve heads..." and i figured you meant to write "16 valve headers do fit 20 valve heads..."

just realised that what i wrote could have been seen as a threat to give negative rep, i don't believe in such things

i would only give negative rep to someone who said that 16 valve headers will fit on a 4AC

was about to say that we don't know that it is a RWD question, but we can be fairly sure judging by the original posters handle.

in any case, the question ha been answered, and the thread starter hasn't posted anything in this thread scince he started it, so i think i'll move along.

i removed it cos i thought what i posted was wrong, and if it is wrong i would get neg rep for giving false advice that could cost someone some extra cash. but no biggy.
but i think i was wrong anyways, cos i was saying that 16v extractors dont fit 20v heads, but 20v extractors fit 16v head if you drill an extra hole of 2 for the screws.
