Default Free stereo harness, well almost

Meaning to post this bit of juiciness up for a while.

Whilst killing the last Camry Vsucks (V6) I found that the radio was of the ye old style plug. The sorta clear yellow ones that Toyota used in the pre 86? cars.

    BUT

VZV21 Camrys have a new school plug, so unlike Toyota, they must have had a whole bunch of the whizz bang you beaut radio/equaliser units left over and they required old plugs.

    So they made this

An adaptor that lets you run a old unit in your new car, great if everyone wanted oldschool toyota decks. But lop the yellowy connector off and you have a factory genuine harness to attach your aftermarket CD/MP3/DVD deck too.

I couldn't find it on the EPC I have probably because I have no idea what it's called or what category it's listed in, so if someone could find out what the part number is, that'd be great for everyone. I've only ever seen it in VZV21 Camrys.

I would do a guide on how to cut off the ends and attach it to your stereos harness, but I can't be assed, and quite frankly you'd probably be insulted.

The spanner in my avatar is actually a 16mm, that's why it's still new

Looks kind of like an Aeropro part to me... You can get these at Jb hi-fi/wow etc.

Watch those aeropro ones!! bought one for dad's old car (i couldn't be arsed soldering it all myself) and the wires seem to have been put into the loom randomly. had the 12v going into one of the speaker outputs...

I did snip and re-solder tho and using the plugs made it much easier!

    This is what I buy:

and this is what the end product is:

I don't remember if they are Aeropro, I dont think they are. Plus the bag the plugs come in has the colour coding on it. Matches the Pioneer colour code which makes life easy
