Get ke55 diff and change your self. Or get a t-series. Good for about 120kw ATW.
What are you on about, T series and T50 are fine for 160rwkw, right???

They are good but not for long at all

Yeah im not sure about the ke55 tailshaft being different or not.

    I vote go the t-series from ta22/ra28.

I actually have a blank ta22 diff t series housing with leafs on it ready to go into a ke30. However you will need drum/disc brakes, axels and centre and you have a t-series in your rolla.

Couldn't you just go for a mini spool centre, Boss Automotive in SA supply them.

The wreckers in Kyabram (NSW/VIC border) have quoted $155 for a KE55. He has said I will need to use my own axles. Does this mean for $155 I only get the centre and housing?

Apparently the Borg Warner in both KE30 and KE55 are the same unit. I only need a new tailshaft if I have a manual, so it should be a straight fit?

If anyone has done this before...
Are there any other parts that will be required?

    Diff Centre = $155
    Freight for ~300km = ?

For the 5K manual I will need:
    *pedal box
    *clutch
    *gearbox
    *tailshaft
    *speedo cable
    *clutch cable

    As far as I know...

If it is a straight fit I will order the diff today!
    Need reply ASAP!

If possible, can people post up part codes for these two diffs, so I can tell for sure if they're the same unit?! Please.

I understand the price is most likely due to the fact you live in a small population but even $150 seems a little steep for an old borg warner diff from a corolla when you don't even know its condition.

The borgwarners are the same unit from ke30-ke55 the only difference would be ratios for the autos and manuals.

The size of the drums varies a bit too with the larger size being found on wagons and KE55s from my experiences.
