URGENT: cooper S mini gear linkages??????

I know its not a toyota but i need help desperately,
I have a cooper S that isnt selecting 3rd or 4th, i have re splined everything and it should go in, it has a quick shiftkit and dog box, with a regular shifter it can select them but the gates feel very close to each other

any help to rectify the problem would be VERY appreciated

Try Ausmini.com if you are not already on there.

Is it a rod change or remote?

If it's a remote shift it sounds to me like the clamp on the splined shaft just below the extractors is out by one tooth.

Yeah i fixed it, put in a reverse lockout/fillerplug thing and then resplined it all

im not a mini owner, just we have a few in the workshop, this particular one is going to the perth round of the biante series, hence prepping it

Yeah, glad it's sorted too!

Cush only stayed long enough to buy an SC12 that will probably never make it onto his Mini anyway.

In fact I think he already sold it.

Willy wouldn't dare venture over here, he'd get neg-repped to death for that crap. Since I got neg-repped for commenting on an advert for a "Carolla" in the for sale section.

Poeee stayed long enough to sell his mum's KE55.

SIMDOG was on here first and he started asking me about Minis. Now he has a Mini and still has his Cressida.

Hahaha, brainwashing people into buying minis....I like your style! It seems that there are quite a few people who are into both Toyotas and minis; I wonder why that is. I think my favourite Toy/mini nut would have to be either Brad or Barricade. The perfect vehicles in my eyes!
