Define Classic. before what year?
I know the mini car club of wa will be there.
Hi,
The Classic Car Show is on the 18th March at Whiteman Park.
I'm trying to get details as to how to get involved, but is anyone interested in either:
1. Having an OST/Toymods/Celica Club display with classic Toyotas
2. If not the above, maybe meeting up somewhere and having a mini-cruise to check out the cars that are there (and hopefully find somewhere to park ours all together)
So, if this is of interest to any of you, let me know as I'll be making my way along for a look, and it would be great to make a bit of a classic Toyota (if not Celica) event of it too.

1991 Toyota Camry SV21 GT-2. [SV 21 WA] with 3SGTE, gt-4 box, microtech, E-Boost 2, blah, blah, blah."Now with new turbo."
1991 Subaru Liberty RS turbo. [BD 45 WA] with 96 WRX conversion, LSD diff, VF12, 11psi, Possum Borne ECU, upgraded brakes.
Stoopid subaru oil filter location.
For an official answer, I couldn't tell you (yet).
But from the previous time I went along, there were a lot of 70's and prior cars there. But, having said that, there might have been some 80's cars there that also fit that bill.
Generally, I think the definition of Classic is 25 yrs or older.

If I hear back from the organisers, I'll ask them about any "restrictions/definitions"

Well, looks like to have an actual display you need to be in a car club affiliated with the Council of Motoring.
So, that rules me out in that regard.
So, looks like I'll be just heading down to have a look around, so if anyone's up for a cruise and wonder around let me know. In some ways, better than sitting around with your car all day anyway.

I heard back from the organisers. They only allow clubs affiliated with the Council of Motoring to have displays. So, that rules that out. Anyway, it's probably better just to head down and check it out anyway - beats sitting around all day in the heat/rain :-)
So, I'm thinking meet up somewhere in the morning (not too early), say 10ish somewhere like Burswood (the carpark near the grassed area between the road near the Hamburger Hill entrance and the main Burswood entrance)?
What do people think?
I think I'll just go for that, unless people come back with adjustments to the time.

Well, my plan is to meet those interested in going for a cruise out to Whiteman Park and have a look at the show at Burswood. The very front carpark towards Hamburger Hill, where there's some lawn area, at 10am.
We can't have a display as such, so it's just a meet, cruise and check-out the cars type affair.
So, see those that turn-up at the rendevous point.

Just a reminder that I'll be at the Burswood carpark at the far eastern end, closest to Great Eastern Hwy (near the Hamburger Hill roundabout) tomorrow at 10am.
From there, I/we will head off to the Classic Car Show at Whiteman Park. Entry is free and it's open until 3:30pm.

yeah... display is for CMC affiliated clubs only, and there's no restrictions on the ages of the cars... you'll most likely see some 350Z's with the Z owners club, and the MX5 Club of WA almost always has a display...
OK, as I kind of expected, nobody showed up. But that's cool because I got to wonder around at my own pace with the pleasurable company of Jenelle
Here's some pics for those interested in a taste of what was on show. There were heaps of cars, and I didn't photography everything. Just things that took my fancy:

Not everything is old either guys. But check it out for yourself if you like.
BTW, anyone interested in a 1987 Toyota Celica GT4 for $9,500, I spoke to a guy selling one there which was pretty tidy. So either ask me more about it or, better yet, call him on 0416314999.
Took some pics of it, which start at the position below:

The wheels in the boot are what you can have on it as he's keeping the OZ Racing rims.
138,000kms, Elect Centre Diff Lock, CT26 turbo, water-air intercooler, Air Con'd, uprated suspension, will be sold with 6mths WA license.

Yeah, there's usually some nice cars there amongst the really old vintage stuff, which is OK, but not my main interest.
