what sort of car is it? single headlights or dual lights?
Hey,
I'm in the process of building a new light set up where I'm replacing one hi-lo light with two. Thing is I want them both to light up hi-lo and all the lights I'm finding at the right size are H3 single bulbs. Is there a H bulb that fits the H3 socket or can be made to fit that has the combination hi-lo? I'm tring to do it with out cutting up the light housing at all or too much if possible.
Any help is golden.
Cheers

Sorry to sound cryptic, but it doesn't really matter. I'm making a harness to change to whatever bulb set up I end up with and the lenses will be different/new. But as I said I'll be replacing a single head light with a dual set up and I want both to be on for low and hi beam and a single intensity H3 aint gonna give me no love!
I just need to know if there is a H bulb that is a combination bulb (Hi beam - Low beam) that will fit into the housing for the H3 bulb? OR what the best bulb would be to fit into the lense with minimum modification?
I don't know alot about what a HID set up changes besides the power, Would that be a route I should be looking at?
About to go hit the shops and see what I can work out but I was just hoping some one on here might have a quick answer for me?

Been through most lenses, I need 90-100mm with a combination bulb. They all seam to be H3
That Globe site is useful tho cheers!
you cannot get a h3 size globe with hi/low
Yep I know that, thats why I'm looking for somthing to replace it.
Just went through pretty much the whole bulb list. Closest thing to fit would be a H6 unit. Effectively a H4 with a shorter glass, about H3 in length. The base is effectively a H4 tho. So it wont fit with out modification, so same problem I guess. Ad to that they start at about $55 each![]()
Have you thought about getting a headlight from another car. IIR XR falcons had single round headlights with H4 globes (not sure on the size though). Maybe also look at BMW's. Can't think of any others but I'm sure there's plenty.
If you can find the lights in another car it probably wouldn't be too hard to mod them to fit yours.
