Drag Tag day...?

Gday all, just came back from "Drag Tag" in the clayton area. For you that havn't heard of it, it's a legal place setup with 3 dynos with massive screens infront of them and you practically virtual drag race on the dynos against the other 2 guys but with real cars.
For your car to be eligible to race your car has to have some kind of custom brace (which is put onto the chassis some how, not too shore how it works?) so the place has about 7-8 rice burners (skylines, silvias ect.) that are modded and you rent them out for $10 and you can get 2 drag races or for $20 you can do circuit laps. I couldn't resist and had a go in the skyline GTS-T.... lots and lots of fun

They also have a small show and shine area inside.... quite a good layout.
The only bad things..... the cars are automatic and its not very realistic graphic wise. (but will end the "im faster than you war" between eddie and marcus

) They also have a burnout pad there if anyone wants to have some fun.
Overall cost for my night:
$5 entry
$10 for 2 drag races
...totally worth it
Extras you can do:
$20 for 2 circuit laps on the dyno
$? not sure how much it is to go on the skidpan.
Bargain if you ask me. (considering its $40 to race at calder)
Just seeing if there is any interest around here so could set up a day for toymoders/classic celica guys?

Will post up a short vid of the place in action 2moro to give you guys a better idea of what the hell im on about.

yea i saw that on a dvd with an autosalon mag i got looks great if im ever down there i will for sure be going there i heard they were working on a drift mode that wood be fun

Yeah its a little bit out of the way but worth it. Not sure about the drifting mod but i do know they have "drifting school" there where you learn to drift in your car....... what is the world coming to.

I wonder if you can fool with the intake temp sensor on these dynos to give yourself eleventy billion more HP too?

You can, but it costs $196 to attatch their clamp type thing to your chassis to allow you to go on their dynos... hence why everyone just rents out the cars for $10

If there's enough interest i could organise it but with paintball, go-karting, dinner ect all coming up we'll see how it goes...
