    I have bought books, searched the web and am at my end trying to get info on the late model 4agze. Twin coil, no distributor model. Before I bought the motor the crank angle sensor that fits in the same place as the distributor had been removed, when you open it up it has two large lobes and another serated sensor lower. Are the two large lobes at the top the ignition signal and therefore what you line up after the motor has been bought up to TDC compression stroke. Any help on 4agze details and the reinstallation of the crank angle sensor would be appreciated, thanks, denis.

    the serated sensor lower could be the home sensor, not needed on some ignition setups, and with some aftermarket ecus

    unsure on the 4agze one but , my cas just slides into the block and screws on it will only go in one way or the sensor will be on the piss, it should only bolt in 2 ways just trial and error it, it just wont start if its back the front.

    The drive gear is multi tooth so will go in as many different ways as there number of teeth on the drive gear. I think I still need help, den.

    I can't remember which type of marks are on the GZE CAS, but they're the same as a smallport 4age distributor.

    I think it has a dimple on one of the gear teeth which you align with the line in the housing. With those two marks lined up, install the CAS with the bolt hole in the middle of the slot.

    I will look closely today, I found the dimple on the cam gear and was sure it had some relevance but now thanks to you I can move forward. I hope this will solve my dilema. Crazy isn't it I have been building engines all my life including some reasonably exotic ones and have never had problems timing a distributor but this had me stumped, thanks again, denis.

    I think they fit the same as the normal 16V dist,

    maybe this will help,
